note:
Welcome
to
our
daily
feature,
Quote
of
the
Day.
Obviously,
too
soon
to
tell,
but
I
think
it
could
[push
more
firms
to
up
their
in-office
attendance
requirements].
I
think
everybody
watches
what
their
peers
are
doing.
—
Lauren
Drake,
a
recruiter
at
Macrae,
in
comments
given
to
the
American
Lawyer,
on
whether
more
Biglaw
firms
will
revise
their
office
attendance
policies
to
mandate
that
attorneys
spend
four
days
each
week
working
from
the
office.
“Just
in
the
same
way
that
firms
are
responding
to
what
their
clients
are
doing,
I
think
they’re
also
responding
to
what
the
federal
government
is
doing,
because
so
many
D.C.
firms
have
practices
before
the
federal
government,”
she
said.
Anna
Sanders,
a
recruiter
at
VOYlegal
for
Am
Law
200
firms, echoed
Drake’s
thoughts,
saying
Biglaw
firms
find
“safety
in
numbers,”
and
may
sell
any
changes
to
their
attendance
requirements
as
“aligning”
themselves
with
the
market.
