Annual
pay
continues
to
climb
for
solo
practitioners
and
lawyers
at
small
law
firms,
according
to
ATL’s
2024
Solo
&
Small
Firm
Compensation
Survey,
the
results
of
which
were
released
this
week.
Above
the
Law
has
been
tracking
compensation
among
lawyers
in
small
practices
since
2016,
focusing
on
firms
with
50
or
fewer
attorneys.
Over
the
last
three
years,
the
proportion
of
respondents
earning
$250,000
or
more
has
risen
markedly,
from
29%
in
2022
to
36%
in
2023
to
43%
in
2024.
Nearly
one
in
five
lawyers
who
took
the
survey
in
2024
earns
at
least
$500,000.
These
findings
are
in
line
with
broader
industry
trends
showing
rising
pay
for
the
legal
profession
as
a
whole.
