note:
Welcome
to
our
daily
feature,
Quote
of
the
Day.
We
have
seen
law
firms
really
pull
back
on
wanting
these
individuals
for
fear
that
they’re
not
effective
in
front
of
the
Trump
administration.
There
is
a
concern
that
they
are
ineffective,
practicing
or
appearing
against
the
government
now
and
against
the
individuals
leading
the
Department
of
Justice
for
the
Trump
administration.
[There’s
concern
that]
either
clients
won’t
hire
them
because
they’re
afraid
that
they
will
be
ineffective
or
retaliated
against
for
hiring
these
individuals
who
are
so
scorned
by
the
Trump
administration.

Nonaka,
a

law
firm
recruiter
at
Macrae,
in
comments
given
to
the
National
Law
Journal,
on
the
fact
that
hiring
government
lawyers
who
were
fired
may
be
a
dangerous
move.
“Law
firm
partners
are
very
often
hired
on
their
expertise
and
their
connections.
So
if
your
network
and
connections
are
primarily
with
an
out-of-power
administration,
of
course
that
could
have
an
impact,”
she
said.
“What
kind
of
impact?
We’re
all
waiting
with
bated
breath.”
