Biglaw Attorneys In The South Can’t Go To Court, But They Can Get Tattoos

[I]f the courts are still closed there’s no real reason for me to create any risk when our people can effectively do their jobs at home. I can have lunch with a plaintiffs lawyer, we can go bowling, get tattoos or get our nails done–but we can’t go to a hearing. As a trial lawyer it’s really frustrating.

Scott Masterson, the managing partner of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith’s office in Atlanta, Georgia, commenting on the less-than-ideal circumstances surrounding a possible return to the office in a state where the governor’s COVID-19 shelter-in-place order was lifted last week, but courts will be closed until June 12.
