Return
to
the
office,
they
said.
It’ll
be
fun,
they
said.
They
didn’t
tell
you
about
the
rivers
of
shit
you’d
have
to
deal
with.
Unfortunately,
that’s
not
much
of
a
euphemism
for
the
folks
at
the
U.K.-based
Kennedys
Biglaw
firm.
As
reported
by
RollOnFriday,
the
firm
recently
moved
its
London
office
to
the
Fenchurch
building,
nicknamed
the
Walkie-Talkie.
Alas,
that
move
came
with
some
plumbing
problems.
But
the
“massive
upgrade”
encountered
a
hitch
over
the
summer
when
the
toilets
four
floors
above
Kennedys
“exploded”
and
“flooded
the
shafts
with
waste”,
said
an
insider.With
the
elevators
out
of
action,
clients
had
to
be
“ferried
up
and
down
in
the
service
lift”.
Also,
said
a
source,
“the
whole
building
reeks
of
sh1t”.
The
good
news
is
a
firm
spokesperson
confirms
that
matter
has
since
been
cleared
up:
“Pleased
to
report
that
the
lifts
and
all
the
Walkie
Talkie
office
amenities
are
fully
operational.
Our
people
and
our
clients
continue
to
enjoy
our
firm’s
offices
in
one
of
London’s
most
iconic
buildings.”
