David has a wide range of experience in administration, property law including conveyancing and securities. Before establishing the firm, David specialised in conveyancing with a Harare law firm. He established the Corporate Legal Services Department at Old Mutual Zimbabwe in 1988 as the Manager (Corporate Legal Services) a position he held until he retired in 2001.
His experience at Old Mutual provided him with exposure to legal aspects of a wide range of business activities including finance, insurance, pension administration, investments, asset management, property development, labour law, tax laws, human resources, and business law generally. He was particularly involved in research, legal opinions and the negotiation and drafting of contracts.
David participated in the Old Mutual demutualisation exercise. During the time he was with Old Mutual, he would often visit the Cape Town Head Office to liaise with the corresponding legal department there.
Julius joined the firm as Partner responsible for banking & finance, mergers & acquisitions, investments, corporate restructuring, and banking & finance in 2012. He also does advisory, legal drafting and litigation covering our full range of service areas including conveyancing.
Before joining TSA, Julius worked as a Corporate Transactional Attorney at Khanda & Company Attorneys where he specialised on M & A, Bankruptcy, Corporate Restructuring, Joint Ventures, Leveraged Buyouts, Real Estate Finance and Fund Formation Services. Before joining Khanda & Company, Julius worked as a Finance Lawyer at Little, Meiring & Associates, a Mauritius registered financial advisory services firm, and before then, a commercial lawyer at B. Matanga IP Attorneys. Julius also worked for Standard Chartered Bank Zimbabwe Limited (1990-1997), Barclays Bank (1998) and Zimbank now ZB Bank (1999-2000).
Julius is the Deputy Chairman of the Zimbabwe Open University Council.
Walter has an LLBS (Hons) degree obtained from the University of South Africa, an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) from the National University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Education (Management) from the University of Zimbabwe. He also holds a diploma in Personnel Management from IPMZ, and a diploma in Education from the University of Zimbabwe.
Walter worked for several quasi-government entities in managerial positions before joining the firm. He is a current board member of the Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (ZIMSEC). His areas of practice include criminal litigation, legal drafting and labour law.
